Codes of Conduct for the Hire and Use of Ramsey RUFC Clubhouse and Facilities

1. Ramsey RUFC is a private, licensed members Club, but invites non-members to hire the facilities it has to offer. However there are certain requirements that anyone using the premises with the bar must comply with, prior to use.

These are:

i) To supply the names of all non-members attending a function at the premises.

ii) All persons under the age of 21, will be required to have with them identification which includes their date of birth and a photograph i.e. Passport, Driving Licence etc. If guests are asked for identification and cannot produce it, they will be refused service at the bar for any intoxicating liquor.

The use of the Clubhouse and its facilities will be denied if this list is not received, in full by the Club at least 7 days before use, except in exceptional circumstances. Where the use of the bar is not required, there is no requirement to provide the details asked for above.

2. When the premises are in use/hired by a party not directly associated with Ramsey RUFC, there will always be a minimum of two (2) Club Members or Club Committee Members present on the premises at all times during its hire/use. The only exception to this may be when the premises are in use and the Bar is not open. e.g. Children's Parties.

3. The premises are licensed to a maximum of 110 persons. This number may not be exceeded under any circumstances.

4. The Cost of Hire for the premises is £25 with or without Bar Facilities. In addition to this, any non member wishing to use the premises with a bar facility, will be required to provide a letter outlining the date, time and purpose of the function i.e 40th Birthday Party, as a special permission license is required from the Licensing Court. Unfortunately there is a cost involved in obtaining the Special Permission, which is £12 and covers the first two (2) hours of the function. An additional £8 per hour is charged for any additional hours over 2 hours. Therefore a function between 8pm and 12am would cost £28 and so on.

5. Ramsey RUFC will provide Bar Staff when this service is required. No outside Bar Staff can, or will be used without prior consent from the Club Committee, and even then there will always be a Club Member present to supervise the use of the Bar. No permission will be given for outside Bar Staff, except in exceptional circumstances.

6. The Hire of Ramsey RUFC Clubhouse facilities for 18th Birthday Parties is at the complete discretion of the Club Committee, and subject to the complete satisfaction of the Club Committee as to the names of the persons attending the function on the list to be provided by the hirer.

7. The Clubhouse is fully licensed for the sale of Intoxicants from 12pm to 12am . Last Orders in the premises will be called at 11.30pm, with the service of intoxicants finishing at 12am and all drinks must be consumed by 12.30am.

8. The Clubhouse is fully licensed for the performing/playing of Music from 12pm to 12am . Any music being played in the Clubhouse must cease at 12am.

9. A full Kitchen area including oven, hob, microwave, pots and pans, sink, plates, cups and cutlery is available in the premises and included in the hire charge, although the number of plates, cups and cutlery are limited. There is also a limited “Tuck Shop Stock” on the premises, which is available for sale. A full price list is available on the premises, or on request. Anyone requiring the Tuck Shop should indicate it on the questionnaire for hire form. The Club will provide staff for this, if it is required.
