Tynan Pritchard

Position: Flanker

Tynan is the current Shimmin Wilson Manx Player of the Season and Ramsey RUFC Player of the Year after leading Ramsey to a domestic clean sweep last season. A powerful player in both attack and defence, his influence and leadership will be essential for Ramsey in their first season in the UK Leagues. Tynan has had previous experience playing across the water for Vagabonds and Ramsey will be hoping he picks up where he left off last season and drives the team forward. Our very own Captain Marvel.

Aneurin Pritchard

Club Vice Captain

Position: Fly Half

As Ramseys starting Number 10 Aneurin is the creative force behind the running game. A sharp accurate passer, he is instrumental in launching those outside of him, but with his pace and direct running, he's not a stranger of finding the tryline himself. Older brother of Tynan, he too has experience playing away for Vagabonds. He will undoubtedly play a huge part for Ramsey this coming season and hopefully many more to come. A natural finisher to whom Ramsey will be looking to spark some magic from this season.

Gareth Hinge

Director of Rugby

Position: Scrum Half

When Gareth was appointed to be the clubs Director of Rugby many thought he would curtail his playing days with the club. However last season he performed somewhat of a utility role for the club, playing Wing, Scrum Half, Fly Half and Flanker at various times throughout the year. Gareth is in charge of all Team affairs at Ramsey and the work he puts in is incredible. An experienced and long serving member of the club Gareth is as committed and motivated as ever.

Darren Ideson

Second Team Captain

Position: Back Row/Fly Half

Darren has taken up the reigns on Ramseys domestic assault this season after a number of highly successful years in the First Team. A former Club Captain, Darren will bring vast experience and influence to the Seconds and will be hoping he can continue the clubs domestic dominance in the absence of the Firsts. Darren very much leads by example. He is strong in the tackle, has a good handling and kicking game and knows his way to the tryline.

Mickey "The Bat" Melvin

Second Team Vice Captain

Position: Hooker/Back Row

Mickey is a member of Ramsey's old guard having played for the Club since it began! A fantastic player in the loose, Mickey never lets size become an issue. He is happy to tackle anyone at all and puts in some big hits on some big guys. Great at the breakdown Mickey is a fine example of technique over physique. The years may be rolling on but Mickey still plays with the enthusiasm of an 18 year old and his service to the club in everyway is a shining example.
